In 2024 and 2025 bills were presented to our State legislators that would change the definition of Hemp from the 2018 Farm Bill that would categorize hemp under the State’s medical marijuana program or eliminate hemp products all together. A small group of hemp retailers helped fund the fight to kill these bills, and were successful, however this fight is not going away.

In 2026 we want to present our own Hemp Regulation Bill for the State, that will concentrate hemp products only to hemp stores, prohibit underage selling, and provide regulation so that products are safe for consumers, providing a solid foundation for the industry to grow on.
